Ashley Judd was born on April 19, 1968 in Granada Hills, California. She is the daughter of Naomi Judd and sister of Wynonna Judd. Ashley attended 13 schools before college at the University of Kentucky. After college she drove to Hollywood and studied acting. She played in 2 episodes of Star Trek: The Next Generation, and had a recurring role on the TV drama Sisters. Her first starring film role was in Ruby in Paradise. She co-starred with Mira Sorvino as Marilyn Monroe in Norma Jean and Marilyn. She had leading roles in the thrillers Kiss the Girls and Double Jeopardy. Ashley played the wife of Cole Porter in De-Lovely, and starred as Lorraine Nelson in Dolphin Tale (and sequel). She appeared as Natalie Prior in Divergent, and sequels Insurgent and Allegiant. Her current role is in A Dog’s Way Home.
