Jonathan Daniel Hamm was born on March 10, 1971 in St. Louis, Missouri. He studied acting at the University of Missouri, became a high school teacher, and then moved to Hollywood. He played minor TV and film parts for years. His breakthrough role was ad exec Don Draper in the hit TV series Mad Men. Other TV roles include 30 Rock, Parks and Recreation and Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt. His first leading film role was in the mystery thriller Stolen. He played an FBI agent in The Town and a sports agent in Million Dollar Arm. Hamm appeared in the comedy Keeping Up with the Joneses, the scifi film Marjorie Prime, and the comedy crime film Baby Driver. He appeared in the drama Nostalgia and the political thriller Beirut. He currently stars in Bad Times at the El Royale.
